Vitamin C Injection is used as a nutritive supplement of Vitamin C. Vitamin C injection is most commonly given in the treatment or prevention of a Vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C is also given to facilitate a more rapid wound healing time when a wound is healing slower than expected. Veterinarians will also give Vitamin C as an adjunct to other therapy when a patient appears to be recovering slowly to a usually effective treatment.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics or to any of the excipients.
Do not use simultaneously with other macrolides or lincosamides.
Horses: Give 5 - 10 mL by intramuscular injection regularly twice weekly, oras advised by a veterinary surgeon.
Dogs: Give 1 - 2 mL by intramuscular injection regularly twice weekly, oras advised by a veterinary surgeon.
